During a routine inspection

We met with the Registered Manager and they told us the service contract between Care UK and NHS Calderdale ends at the beginning of March 2013. NHS Calderdale had commissioned a new service provider and Care UK will be submitting applications to deregister their services with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in the near future.

The community practice operates as a local GP surgery and offers a range of health services to registered patients. The practice opens every day Monday to Friday from 8am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.

Walk in services without an appointment offers patient's health care advice and treatment for general health problems and immediately necessary treatments. Opening times are the same however, Monday to Friday there is a limited walk in service between 12pm to 3pm for unregistered patients.

We spoke with two people who told us that the staff are really helpful and friendly and were very satisfied with the quality of the service provided.
