During a routine inspection
We saw that people using the service were involved in making decisions about the care and treatment they received and this included a health screening consultation when they arrived at the unit to help determine what their needs were.
We noted that people could access a variety of clinics to meet their individual needs and there was collaborative working with other agencies such as the mental health in-reach team.
We saw that the premises and environment were safe and generally clean. We observed health and safety information, and the staff we spoke with could explain how to reduce the risk of infection.
We saw that generally, there were enough suitably trained and experienced staff to meet the needs of people using the service. Staff were well supported and had access to various education programmes.
The provider had various methods that were used to ensure the quality of the service was assessed and monitored. These included meetings, surveys and audits. The records for these were available.
