During a routine inspection

People told us about how well supported they were by the staff. Examples of comments made included 'the service is very reliable and good quality'. 'I always have a really good laugh, the service is extremely good value'.' The service is excellent, they are pleasant and you couldn't fault them'. 'It's a very reasonable service but they don't get enough time between visits. 'The staff have a very caring attitude', and 'the staff are very helpful'. These comments showed that people feel their care needs were met. People told us that they were able to stay in their own homes with the support staff provided them.

People benefited because care plans showed what support they needed clearly and were helpful and easy to follow. People were cared for by staff who had an awareness and understanding of their range of needs.

People felt safe with the staff who supported them in their homes. There were systems, practices and procedures in place to protect people from abuse in their homes.

People are cared for by staff who are supported and supervised in the work they do. People have their needs met by staff who are competent, to care and support them effectively.

The service involved people in monitoring and reviewing the quality of service and the care they received. The service was run in a flexible way that treated each person as unique.
