During our visit we spoke with six people that lived at the home. They told us that they were treated with respect, that their privacy was respected, that the staff were attentive to their needs and that their choices and views were listened to. One person told us 'the nurses are very attentive, they listen to me'.The people spoken with told us that the food that they were provided with was good, that they were always provided with a choice of meals and that they were provided with plenty of drinks. One person said the 'food is really nice, I didn't realise how hungry I was. Really nice fish pie I ate the lot' and another person said 'the food is excellent here'. A person that we spoke with laughed and said 'I'm just trying to find the fish in the fish pie'. They told us that they had a large appetite and that they were always provided with enough to eat.
People that were spoken with told us that the home was always clean, tidy and was warm enough. Two people told us that they liked their bedrooms and that they could bring in their personal possessions to make them more homely.
