Staff we spoke with told us that the staffing levels had improved recently and this enabled them to go out with people using the service more frequently. One staff member said, "It is much better as we are doing 8am-4pm with two staff. There are lots of parties coming up over the Christmas period so this will make things easier". We found that staffing levels had improved and that people were accessing the community, for instance to go shopping and attend church services.

We were not able to speak to people living in the home due to communication difficulties. We observed that people were cared for by staff who were patient and sensitive to peoples' needs. We observed that people were not engaged in any meaningful activity throughout our visit.
