During a routine inspection
People living at the home appeared very comfortable and relaxed with the staff who supported them. We observed that staff interacted with people in a polite and friendly manner.
People were very positive about the care they had received. One person told us that they were staying in bed for a day as they did not feel well. They said that it was 'good sometimes to just to be looked after.'
People living at the home told us they were able to make choices about their day to day lives. People said they were able to choose what time they got up, when they went to bed and how they spent their day.One person said 'Staff are very good. They encourage me to be independent. They give me as much help as I need."
Another person told us that staff cared for them very well. 'All I do is ring and they come straight away. They don't take long to answer the bell.'
We asked people who they would speak to if they had any worries. One person said 'I could talk to anyone here. I feel they would all do what they could according to their capacity.'
