Our view of the service
Beggars Roost Nursing Home is a care home providing nursing and/or personal care. We assessed Beggars Roost Nursing home between 4 January and 14 February 2024. People had a variety of nursing and care needs such as diabetes, frailty of age, memory loss and conditions affecting people’s physical health and mobility. At the last comprehensive inspection 29 August 2018, the service was rated as good. At this assessment, good standards of care had been maintained. The service was led by an experienced registered manager who knew people well. Management oversight and robust governance processes supported the delivery of safe person-centred care. Risks were managed and people were supported in the least restrictive way to meet their needs and keep them safe. Safeguarding processes protected people from the risk of abuse or harm. Staff were recruited safely and there were enough staff to meet people’s needs. Staff treated people with dignity and respect and involved them as equal partners in their care. People felt safe and well cared for and were happy with the service they received. The home was fully accessible, clean, and well maintained.
