People and relatives told us they had been involved when the care plan had been drawn up and when it had been completed they had been asked to look at it to see if they were happy with it. We were told that if changes were made to their care and treatment, staff would consult with them and explain the reasons for the changes. People said they were given opportunities to express their views about the service by completing surveys.One person said their regular staff knew exactly how they liked things to be done for them.
People said they were treated with kindness and consideration and they were able to express their views and talk about the care and support needed. They said that their privacy and dignity was respected at all times. One person said all their staff were considerate and respectful.
One person said they were happy with the care they received and said they were grateful to the carers because they had made their life much easier.
A relative said 'I know I can rely on them to look after my relative properly. I have no worries and know they provide good care.' Another person said that if they ever have a problem the staff will do whatever they can to help.
We spoke to a relative who said they were happy to leave staff to care for their relative and informed us that the staff were professional and provided good quality care.
People told us they were happy with the food staff provided in their homes and said staff knew what they liked to eat.
We were told that people were happy with the staff's standard of hygiene and cleaning and that staff used disposable gloves and aprons when undertaking personal care.
One person informed us that without the support from the staff they would not be able to carry on living in their own home. We were told that there were reliable staffing arrangements and they all said that they liked the staff and felt they worked hard. One person said that staff were sometimes in a rush.
A relative told us that there was good communication with the office if staff were going to be late.
