During a routine inspection
We talked to the staff who worked at the home. They explained the home was due to close and how this had an impacted on staff moral. As yet they did not have a date for closure but they were ensuring the people who live at the home were not effected in the interim and that their quality of experience remained the same.
We looked at people's care records. Mostly the records were consistent and complete. However we found that some records needed to be updated to ensure that they were accurate and up to date. We discussed this with the deputy manager who told us they would make sure this was put into place.
We looked at staff records and found the staff had consistent supervision and were well trained. We also saw there were systems in place to make sure people who used their service and their representatives could raise concerns and these would be dealt with promptly.
