During a routine inspection
We looked at a sample of peoples' care records. We saw that people and their families were involved in planning the care and support they needed. Care plans were regularly reviewed and were person centred. They took account of peoples' individual needs and choices. We found that effective processes were in place to ensure people were asked for their consent to care and treatment.
Throughout our visit we observed that people were comfortable and relaxed, including people in the lounges and those who chose to stay in their bedrooms. We observed people engaging in conversation with each other and with staff throughout the day. We noted that staff supported people in a discrete and respectful way whilst still having the opportunity for a laugh and joke with them.
We found that there were sufficient qualified and experiences staff on duty to meet peoples' care and support needs.
