Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider can accommodate a maximum of seven service users at Buttermere House without seeking permission from the Care Quality Commission. If the registered provider wishes to accommodate an eighth, ninth or tenth service user at Buttermere House, they must seek prior written permission from the Care Quality Commission to do so.

When seeking the Care Quality Commission’s permission to admit an eighth, ninth or tenth service user to Buttermere House, the registered provider must submit to the Care Quality Commission:
a. An assessment of the service user’s needs outlining their suitability to live at Buttermere House, detailing how the registered provider will meet their needs and respond to their preferences.
b. An impact assessment considering the needs and wishes of the existing service users at Buttermere House. This should include mental capacity assessments where appropriate.
c. Written confirmation from a health or social care professional that the proposed new service user has made an informed choice to move into Buttermere House. The written confirmation must also demonstrate that the living environment and the setting is suited to the service user’s preferences and that they can maintain family and social links whilst being accommodated at Buttermere House.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Buttermere House

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 10 service users at Buttermere House.
