During an inspection in response to concerns
care. They described the staff as "supportive" and said they were treated with respect.
Overall, people felt the home was the right place for their needs at this point in their lives. One person in particular spoke about the impact of moving to Wimborne House and said this had "saved my life".
People told us they liked the freedom and flexibility they enjoyed at the home. We were concerned however that staff did not always do enough to monitor how well people were managing day to day.
People had mixed views about the quality of the environment which was described as "OK" by some people but also as "threadbare". We observed that the home was also dirty and the provider was not ensuring that people were protected from the risk of infection.
People said there were enough staff to support them when they needed help and we observed positive social interactions between staff and people living at the home throughout the day.
People using the service told us they could influence aspects of the service, for example at house meetings.
