During a routine inspection
Records showed that people's capacity to make decisions had been considered. People were involved in their care planning and were asked to sign they agreed with care plans. Any nutritional requirements were recorded and a dietician had commented about the positive impact Elite Homecare had had on managing someone's condition.
People told us staff always wore protective clothing where necessary, and staff confirmed this was readily available. We saw that training around infection control had been provided.
Records held regarding complaints showed that informal comments as well as formal written complaints were dealt with and the manager made sure improvements were put in place.
A robust recruitment procedure was followed to help ensure staff were of good character and had the appropriate skills.
