During a routine inspection
The surgical procedures were carried out by one of the two doctors who own the company that runs Enliven Clinic. The doctors also worked as GPs in the medical centre where the clinic is situated.
We found that people were given enough information to make a decision about whether or not the treatment was suitable for them. People told us their care and treatment and the possible risks were explained to them in detail prior to any procedure being carried out.
We spoke with three people who used the service. Everyone we spoke with was satisfied with the care and treatment received. One person said, 'I telephoned in the middle of the night because I was worried. The doctor was kind and reassuring. I felt at ease after speaking with her.'
Arrangements were in place for the safe management of medicines.
Filing cabinets and cupboards containing patient and staff records were locked. This meant people who used the service could be confident their personal information was maintained securely.
