During a routine inspection
We saw that people had choices in their day to day life and that they were treated with respect. One person told us "It's alright". People went out independently in the local area and the home provided some activities. However we found that some of the support plans were not always giving an accurate picture of the care which was provided.
We saw that staff had had training in safeguarding and people we spoke with told us they felt safe with the service. Staff knew the procedures that they needed to take if they had concerns. We checked some of the money held by the provider on behalf of people and saw that it was recorded accurately.
Staff were supported by receiving training in relevant areas however there was little specific training which had been related to people with mental health needs. We found that on one occasion, there had not been staff to cover when there was an unexpected absence at short notice.
People were asked for their opinions and feedback had been collated in residents meetings and in an annual survey.
