During a routine inspection
We found people's needs were assessed and reviewed regularly. Each person had a care plan designed to support them with their assessed needs. Where risks had been identified a risk assessment had been completed and support guidelines were produced which staff followed. A member of staff said: "The care plans were good as they had clear guidelines to follow when supporting people."
We looked at the environment and found it suitable for the people who used the service. We looked at maintenance and relevant health and safety records and checks. These were current, regularly completed and up to date.
We looked at how staff were supported and found they received regular supervisions and annual appraisals. Training was recorded on a training matrix which showed all training events staff had attended and were booked to attend. A member of staff told us: "I enjoy the training as we are able to put into practice what we have learnt."
The provider told us about their monthly quality audit and shred with us their action plan for improving the records of care and the environment. This showed us the provider had effective systems to monitor the quality of the service they provided.
