Our view of the service

Date of assessment 25 April to 14 May 2024. We assessed areas of the well led key question in response to concerns which had been raised. Longfield Hospice provides care for people who are living with life limiting conditions using a blend of therapies and home visits. We found the service was providing a good standard of care to people who use the service. Managers demonstrated compassion, staff talked about an improved culture, felt involved in organisational planning and were proud to work for the hospice. Managers used systems to monitor outcomes for people and were reviewing how they could improve the service provided. A recent management restructure had already provided clear lines of support for staff.
