During a routine inspection

We spoke with five people and four representatives of people who used the service. When asked about the support they received, people indicated to us they were happy. One person said, 'It's alright.' A second person said, 'It's great, the staff team are brilliant.' We asked representatives of people what they thought of the support their relatives received. One person told us, 'It's very good, I'm very happy now that [my relative] is being cared for.' A second person told us, '[My relative] has improved no end, since being supported by Aspirations.' A third person told us, 'It's very good, I have no problems at all with the support [my relative] receives.'

We found people expressed their views and were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment. However, we found whilst people's needs were assessed, their care was not always planned and delivered in line with their individual support plans.

We found that people who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.

We found that people were cared for by staff who were not fully supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

We found that the provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
