During an inspection looking at part of the service
We asked the provider to send us an action plan as to how they would address these shortfalls, which they did.
We undertook this follow up visit to assess the progress made by the provider. We spoke with the manager, deputy manager, two staff and three people using the service. We also reviewed people's records and looked at further training for staff.
We found from our discussions with staff, people using the service, and a review of records, that the provider had taken appropriate actions to address shortfalls. This included arranging relevant training for staff in regard to understanding mental capacity and deprivation of liberty. Also strengthening systems in place to ensure people's consent was recorded clearly within documentation.
