During a routine inspection
People told us that they were happy living in the Hollies care home. One person said, 'The home has a family atmosphere, it's a happy place.' Another said, 'We get on well, they are wonderful caring people and I have no reason to complain.'
Support plans were in place that detailed information about the people living in the service. This helped staff to support them with their care and treatment. We saw that other healthcare professionals were involved when necessary such as doctors, psychiatrists or psychologists.
There was a range of activities for people to participate in within the service. They were also supported to access activities in the community such as visiting the theatre, cinema or garden centre if they wished to do so.
We observed a lunchtime meal and saw that the food was plentiful and hot. People living in the service told us that the food was tasty and that they could choose an alternative if they wished.
There were enough staff to meet people's needs. The staff were knowledgeable about the people in their care.
No complaints had been received by the service within the last 12 months. People told us that they had no complaints but that they would feel confident to talk with manager or provider if they were unhappy.
