During a routine inspection
The patients attending White Lodge Clinic were all seen by the provider, a private surgeon, who retained full responsibility for their care and treatment at the clinic. Should people present with conditions that the provider was unable to treat, appropriate referral processes to their GP, or the local hospitals, were in place.
Facilities at the clinic and the appointment system meant that each patient was given the undivided attention of the surgeon throughout their consultation and treatment. It also meant that they could be assured of privacy.
The premises were clean and appropriate infection prevention and control measures were in place to reduce the risk of surgical site infections. The audit processes demonstrated that there had been no such infections following treatment since our previous visit.
