Queen Mary House had twenty-eight permanent residents at the time of our inspection. People told us that they've been well looked after and their privacy was respected. They also said that the meals were nice and the staff 'cannot do enough for you'. People said that they were comfortable and felt safe in the home.People told that there were many activities provided in the home such as exercise classes, quizzes, beauty therapy and massage.
Staff told us that they enjoyed working in the home and some of them worked there for more than ten years. We received comments that the staff was listened to, worked as a team and got on well with each other.
We found that people's needs were assessed and care plans were created. The care plans and the related risk assessment were reviewed regularly. People were visited by health professionals regularly to address any problems and they were referred to the other professionals or service when it was needed.
We found that people completed questionnaire forms in every three months regarding the meals and the care they received. People's feedback was taken into consideration and they were kept informed about the improvements of the service.
