Charmion Pears joined CQC as a non-executive director in February 2024. She is the chair of our Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
Charmion currently fills the same roles at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). She is also an independent member of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee at the Health and Safety Executive.
Originally from New Zealand, Charmion is a chartered accountant. Her previous roles include chairing a committee at Cornwall Council’s domiciliary and residential care business and acting as a trustee of Demelza Hospice for Children.
