NHS patient survey programme: outline programme and publication dates

Publication dates for our surveys looking at the experiences of NHS patients.

We announce the month of publication for each survey 1 year in advance. The exact publication date is confirmed at least 1 month in advance.

If a publication date changes, we will explain why.

NHS providers will need to fund implementation on the same basis as in previous years.

2024 surveys

• 2024 Children and young people: fieldwork July – October 2024, publication May 2025 (TBC)
• 2024 Urgent and emergency care: fieldwork April – July 2024, publication 21 November 2024
• 2024 Community mental health: fieldwork August – November 2024, publication 3 April 2025
• 2024 Maternity: fieldwork April – June 2024, publication 28 November 2024
• 2024 Adult inpatients: fieldwork January – April 2025, publication August 2025 (TBC)
