The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated Specialist Medical Transport – North inadequate overall following a recent inspection.

Specialist Medical Transport - North is commissioned by a number of NHS trusts and an integrated care board (ICB) to provide non-emergency patient transport for people attending hospital or clinic appointments. It also provides a secure transport service for people over the age of 14, including those detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
