We’ve been working to procure a new contract to deliver Expert by Experience (ExE) services.
This contract procurement is for a single contractor to deliver the ExE service across England.
The successful bidder will continue to help us involve ExE in our inspection teams and co-production work through a network of partners.
We also want the new contractor to help us engage with seldom heard community groups to gather intelligence to help us monitor the quality of services on an ongoing basis.
Over 60 organisations from the voluntary, community and private sectors registered an interest in the procurement. In the last few months, we engaged with these organisations to encourage them to collaborate with each other in order to bid for the contract.
The pre-qualification stage, where organisations tell us about themselves in order to qualify to take part in the procurement, has now finished. If they qualify, organisations can submit their bids in the ‘Invitation to Tender’ stage, which was opened on 3 October 2019 and will end on 24 October 2019.
In November 2019, colleagues from across CQC as well as public and provider representatives will evaluate all of the bids received to decide which organisation will be awarded the contract.
We look to award the contract in December 2019.
