What progress are we making on equality?

This week we published a new report called 'Equality matters'.

'Equality matters' builds on our reporting from last year and covers both equality issues in how we regulate services and equality in our workforce. You can download the full report and the alternative formats in Equality matters.

Last year's report received praise from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) in a recent report which assessed how well  public sector organisations have fulfilled their duty to publish information about equality.

EHRCs report uses us as the case study for all national organisations and concludes that, “CQC is a good example of a national organisation displaying good practice and acting as a role model towards the organisations that it regulates.”
