What did the review look at?

The review of each trust looked at whether there were any sustained failings in the quality and treatment provided to patients.

It also identified:

  • whether the improvements that the trusts have made are adequate.
  • any additional support that trusts need to make improvements.
  • any regulatory action that needs to take place to ensure patients are protected.
