Progress made at Barking, Havering and Redbridge

We have lifted four of the eight conditions imposed on Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The decision to lift the conditions come after our inspectors made four unannounced visits to King George Hospital and Queen’s Hospital.

The conditions lifted relate to:

• co-operating with providers
• safety and suitability
• staffing
• training maternity staff in children protection training

We will continue to monitor the trust to ensure that it complies with the remaining four conditions.
