Improvements needed at Shelford Lodge

Shelford Lodge Care Home is failing to meet our standards of quality and safety.

Our inspectors visited the care home in January 2011 and found that it did not have:

• measures in place to maintain good standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• adequate guidelines and policies to help staff promote good infection and prevention control.

Sheldon Lodge has already submitted an action plan to us which outlines how it plans to address these concerns. Our inspectors will follow up on the trust’s performance to ensure it meets our standards.
