Care home ratings map launched

Today we have launched an interactive map of care home ratings in England.

This tool has been developed to build a picture of services geographically and will help people who use services, their families and carers to choose services.

The map will make it easier for the public, providers and other partners to search for care homes by geographic location or postcode, compare ratings and read the most recent inspection reports.

There are limitations to the display of care homes where there are duplicate postcodes, and we would encourage people to continue to use our website searchbar and to read our in-depth inspection reports alongside the map to get a full picture of services in their area.

CQC will continue to review the use of the map and explore further developments.
