Home Instead Senior Care Havant on Hayling Island, Hampshire has been rated Outstanding following an inspection in October by the Care Quality Commission.
Inspectors rated the service Outstanding both overall and for being caring, well-led and responsive to people’s needs and Good for being safe and effective
Home Instead Senior Care is a service that provides personal care to people living in their own homes.
Deborah Ivanova, Deputy Chief Inspector, Adult Social Care, said;
“It is great to congratulate Home Instead Senior Care on achieving yet another Outstanding rating in Havant, Hampshire.
“People were receiving exceptional care with services being developed and tailored to their needs and at the same time promoting independence.
“Staff spent time getting to know people to build meaningful and valued relationships with them. People were treated with compassion and kindness.
“It was clear throughout the inspection, that the staff took pride in their work and went the extra mile for the people they supported. I would like to congratulate the service on attaining an overall rating of Outstanding again.”

Some of the key findings from the inspection include:
The registered manager, care manager and staff were exceptionally caring and this was evident in the whole ethos of the organisation.
The registered manager had worked very hard to create excellent links to the local community for the benefit of people. They had a strong focus on reducing isolation and loneliness in the community.
The registered manager demonstrated exceptional leadership which ran through the whole organisation.
Staff received high quality induction, training and supervision. There was a strong focus on continuous development and helping staff to progress in their career according to their ambitions.
People were receiving care and support which reflected their diverse needs in respect of the seven protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010.
