The trust is again rated as Outstanding for caring, Good for being safe, effective, responsive to people’s needs and well-led.

Dr Nigel Acheson, CQC’s Deputy Chief Inspector of Hospitals for the south, said:
“When we inspected the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we found it has continued to work to meet the needs of the local population.
“The trust was working closely with other trusts, clinical commissioning groups and sustainability and transformation partnerships. Staff continued to treat patients and their families with dignity and respect, their needs were met in a caring and compassionate manner.
“We also saw that areas concern we had identified at the previous inspection, such as the lack of residential medical cover for out of hours services, had been addressed.
“We will continue to monitor the trust and our inspectors will return to check on its further improvements in due course.”
