The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has found care provided by two adult social care services in Cambridgeshire to be Outstanding.

Under CQC’s programme of inspections, all England’s adult social care services are given a rating according to whether they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

These care homes were found to be providing an exemplary service when CQC inspected in October and November 2019.

Reports detailing inspectors’ findings have now been published and are available on CQC’s website.

Jemima Burnage, CQC head of inspection for adult social care in the central region, said:

“It is excellent to see these services delivering safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care.

“People deserve to receive high quality care, meeting their individual needs, from compassionate staff.

“At Queens Court in Bottisham and Bramley Court in Histon, we saw residential care homes that were particularly caring and responsive to people’s needs. They offered excellent care to older people, including people living with dementia, helping them achieve positive outcomes. This is why we rated them Outstanding.

“I congratulate these services for the high standards of care they offered people.”
