The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published a report following a focused inspection of Stepping Hill Hospital’s urgent and emergency services.

The inspection was carried out on 24 and 25 August 2020 to check on progress at the service after CQC issued it with a warning notice in March 2020, which required it to make significant improvements.

Inspectors found a number of improvements had been made at the hospital, which is part of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, but that more work was needed.

The inspection is not rated and the overall ratings of Requires Improvement for both the hospital and trust are unaffected.

Full details of the inspections are provided in the reports published online at: www.cqc.org.uk/location/RWJ09
