W3. How are the people who use the service, the public and staff engaged and involved?
Characteristics of services we would rate as good in this area
The service involves people, their family, friends and other supporters in a meaningful way. Support and resources are available to enable the staff team to develop and be heard. All staff understand the fundamental need to provide a quality service.
Leaders, managers and staff encourage people to give a full and diverse range of views and concerns, which they listen to and act on to shape the service and culture. The service proactively engages and involves all staff (including those with particular protected equality characteristics) and ensures that the voices of all staff are heard and acted on to shape services and culture.
There are good links to local community resources that reflect the needs and preferences of the people who use the service.
