We stopped collecting feedback on our second phase of hospital inspections on 14 March 2016.
We'd like your feedback to help us develop plans for our second phase of hospital inspections. This includes how we will assess the use of resources in NHS trusts.
In 2016, we will complete inspections of all NHS non-specialist acute trusts (March 2016) and all NHS specialist trusts, ambulance trusts, mental health trusts and community trusts (June 2016). This is an opportunity to take stock and review what developments and improvements we should make to our inspection approach for hospitals.
This work will reflect the direction we are setting out in our 2016 to 2021 strategy.
Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of NHS providers
From April 2016 we will be piloting how we assess the efficient and effective use of resources in NHS trusts. This is a new addition to our inspections and we have outlined our current thinking here.
