The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published a report on the x-ray and diagnostic imaging services at Mount Gould Hospital, run by University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust following an inspection in February and March.

CQC carried out a focused inspection of the services, but no ratings were produced. CQC had previously inspected diagnostic imaging as part of the hospital’s outpatient services.

The overall rating for the trust and hospital are unchanged and remain requires improvement.

Inspectors found people could access the service in a timely way and were given appropriate information before their appointments. People shared positive feedback on the service.

Staff understood their responsibility to protect people’s personal information and were trained to support their individual needs. They were able to book interpreters and other specialist support to attend appointments when needed.

In addition, the service’s policies and procedures were up-to-date and records were kept securely.
