Learning Disability Advisory Board

Jo Williams, Chair of CQC, recently held the first meeting with the Learning Disability Advisory Board to discuss the planned inspections of learning disability services.

Over the coming months, the Learning Disability Advisory Board will provide input to our planned inspections of learning disability services.

At the first meeting the group suggested that we:

• work with councils and health authorities to find out about the services they’ve commissioned.
• look at care plans.
• find out whether families are involved in the treatment.
• work with Experts by experience, people who use services and family members
