CQC welcomes the 'Close to home recommendations review' published yesterday (8 October) by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).

It is timely and reminds us all of the importance of dignity and human rights for those receiving care.

However, the report is incorrect when it states that “the Care Quality Commission will resume responsibility for monitoring adult social care commissioning.” This was an early proposal for the Care Bill that no longer applies.
