A domiciliary care service based in Kingston upon Thames has been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
Jardine Care Limited trading as Home Instead Senior Care, was rated Outstanding for being well-led and responsive following the inspection in October 2018. It was rated Good for being safe, effective and caring.
Home Instead Senior Care provides domiciliary care to people living in the London Borough of Richmond and surrounding areas. This includes personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and help with medicines. The service also provides people with help and support in their day-to-day lives, such as housework and shopping.
CQC gave the Outstanding rating for:
- exceptionally good care that is personalised and responsive to people’s needs, provided by caregivers who were appropriately matched to the people they supported
- a programme of stimulating activities within the community sponsored and promoted by the provider, meeting people’s needs and combatting loneliness and isolation
- an exceptional management team that made positive use of technology to manage the service and ensure people’s needs were known to all staff, and facilitated excellent record keeping
- a strong culture with person-centred vision and values that worked in partnership with people and their relatives, and other professionals involved
- feedback from people and their relatives, and other professionals involved with people who use the service was glowing about the quality of this provider.
James Frewin, CQC’s Head of Inspection for Adult Social Care in London, said: “All those connected with Jardine Care Limited are to be congratulated for the outstanding care provided.
