“Our inspection team was really impressed by the level of care and support offered to people using Reach Housing & Enablement Services Limited."
“People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible. The service supported people to plan, shop and cook meals with as much independence as possible."
“Independence was promoted and staff had a good understanding of people's diverse needs, preferences, routines and personal histories."
“People received support from a team of staff that provided consistency and continuity. Safe staff recruitment checks were carried out before staff commenced employment and people who used the service and relatives, were involved in the recruitment of staff."
“Regular meetings were had with people to discuss their care and the activities they wanted to participate in. This included an annual holiday of their choice. People were supported to participate in activities, interests and hobbies that were important to them. Staff had been creative and had used innovative approaches to support people with their dreams and aspirations.
“Relatives spoke positively about the approach of staff whom they said were kind, caring and compassionate.
“All of this meant people received a high standard of care, which is why it has been rated Outstanding.”
Andrea Sutcliffe, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care, said:
“The quality of care which our inspectors found here was exceptional and I am very pleased that we can celebrate the service’s achievements.
“An outstanding service is the result of a tremendous amount of hard work and commitment. I would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved.”
