Sirona care & health Community Interest Company (CIC) has retained its overall rating of good, following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Sirona care & health CIC provides NHS and local authority funded community healthcare services across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. It is a not-for-profit social enterprise committed to serving its communities. Services range from preventative and pro-active support to keep people as well and independent as possible, through to complex care and support in individuals’ own homes to prevent admission to hospital or to support people following discharge.

Inspectors visited the service in November to inspect community inpatients and urgent care services, and also to look at whether Sirona care & health CIC was being well-led. Following the inspection, the service retains its previous ratings which were: good overall, outstanding for being caring, good for being effective, responsive and well-led and requires improvement for being safe.

The organisation underwent considerable change and growth at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although it had a clear strategy and vision for developing and bringing the organisation together, this had been delayed due to the pandemic. However, plans were in place to move forward with the new strategy and transformation of the organisation.

Full details of the inspection are given in the report published on our website.
