The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published two reports on the diagnostic imaging services provided by Barts Health NHS Trust at The Royal London Hospital and Whipps Cross University Hospital following an inspection in September.

CQC previously carried out a focused inspection in May this year, to follow up on information of concern received about staffing levels and the safety and quality of the diagnostic imaging services provided by the trust.

As a result of that inspection, the trust received a warning notice to ensure risk assessments were managed safely.

This inspection was to check on the progress of the improvements CQC told the trust to make.

At this most recent inspection the trust showed it had worked to meet the requirements of the warning notice to deliver care safely, and CQC were assured these improvements were being embedded. The team demonstrated there was more oversight to staffing rotas and risk assessments in the department.
