During a routine inspection
People who used the service had been assessed and their choices and preferences were noted. Risk assessments had been prepared. Care plans were in place and the care provided was closely monitored by the manager. Staff we spoke with were aware of the needs of people and the care to be provided.
People who used the service indicated that staff who attended to them were competent and reliable. Staff had been carefully recruited. The recruitment records contained the required documentation.
The agency had a safeguarding policy and procedure. Care staff could provide examples of what constituted abuse and knew how to respond to allegations or incidents of abuse.
There were arrangements for quality assurance. Monitoring visits and spot checks had been carried out by the manager. The service had a complaints procedure.
