During a routine inspection
We spoke to four people who used the service and the one member of staff that worked there.
One person told us 'I have been here twice before, they are very good.' Another person told us 'It's a very good service.' All the people we spoke with were very complimentary about the service. We saw that staff interacted well with the people who used the service.
We saw that systems were in place to ensure staff worked with the consent of people using the service. The staff member told us 'I try to provide the service they want; I have to ask for their consent before I check their ears or repair their equipment.'
People had been involved in the planning and delivery of their treatment. We saw that needs assessments were completed. Treatment given matched the needs that had been identified.
There were procedures in place to safeguard people from abuse. Staff understood their responsibilities should they suspect abuse was taking place.
The staff we spoke with said they felt supported to do their job. They received regular supervisions, appraisals, and training to enable them to carry out their role.
We saw that the provider had systems in place to enable people to complain if they were unhappy with the service. The provider had received no complaints since they registered with the Care Quality Commission.
