During a routine inspection
One person told us "I had to complete a form, a questionnaire before I had any treatment". Another person said "it was very thorough, I asked questions and was able to read about the different products on offer to me, and the range of suitable treatments". One person said "I was asked questions and my views were considered, I was encouraged to be involved and had the chance to ask my own questions and sign a consent form as well". Another person told us "I had to complete a form, a questionnaire before I had any treatment".
When we spoke with people about their experiences, all of the people told us that the waiting area and treatment rooms were clean and comfortable. One person said "it's always very clean here, I never have to feel concerned".
We spoke with several clients regarding equipment and safety precautions. People told us that staff had made them aware of the risks and potential side effects from using equipment like laser technology and electrolysis. They told us that staff advised them before using the equipment of the importance of wearing eye protection and aftercare procedures.
The organisation had a complaints policy which was clear and current and was understood by staff and clients.
