During a routine inspection
People we spoke with were generally really positive about the care the staff provided. One person said "The staff are lovely and gorgeous and they help me with what I need". Another person said "I really like the staff they are very kind and caring" .Two of the six people commented that the standard of care varied between different staff. We found that new staff worked alongside experienced staff for a time and the standard of work was regularly monitored by senior staff having carried out spot checks.
People said they had been asked for their consent and agreement before care had taken place. We found that staff understood the need to gain people's consent and their consent had been recorded in the records we saw.
We found that people's needs had been assessed, planned for and delivered appropriately. The risks associated with peoples care had been assessed and staff took actions to minimise these risks.
We found that there were suitable arrangements in place, and staff had received training, to appropriately support people with their medicines.
We found that the staff had been appropriately supported and trained to carry out their roles.
People told us they had been given the information they required to make a complaint or comment.
