Emergency, Medical, Fire and Rescue Solutions (EMFRS) provided ambulance support services to a very small number of fixed events. Average patient contact was reported as being, in total, around 12 people a year. We were told that no one had been transported to hospital in an EMFRS ambulance in the preceding 12 months. We did not seek to speak to any people who had used the service.EMFRS also provided ambulance and other emergency vehicles for film and television work. That aspect of EMFRS is not a "regulated activity" and consequently did not form part of this inspection.
People who received a service from EMFRS did so on the basis of an assessment and their consent was sought before any treatment was provided.
The ambulance vehicles were appropriately maintained and equipped.
Staff who undertook the regulated activities were appropriately qualified and supported.
The service had a complaints procedure which would be accessed via the venue at which the service was being provided.
