People told us that they had no concerns with the care and treatment they received. They made some of the following comments:

'The service is second to none they are very nice people I would recommend them to any body.'

'I feel safe with the care. No matter which dentist you see they are all very good. They have had several new dentists, but they are all very nice.'

'I have never caught an infection, everything is in a state of surgical asepsis.'

The facilities and resources offered at this practice include four surgery rooms, four dentists, four dental nurses, two trainee dental nurses a practice mangers and a receptionist. One of the dental surgeries is located on the ground floor so that it is accessible to people with restricted mobility.

During the review we found that people are assessed to decide what dental and oral healthcare needs they may have. Treatments that people may need are discussed with them and are carried out in a way that reduces the risk of them being harmed. People consented to their examination and treatment, but would benefit from information about cost being made clearer.

We found that procedures are in place to help to safeguard people from abuse. But improvements were needed. Medication required to be dispensed and administered to people who use the service is monitored to ensure they are safe to use.

We found that people receive treatment in an environment which was clean. However we have identified that improvements were needed to help to reduce the risks of cross infections. We found that the premises is managed so as to ensure that people are not put at risk whilst they are receiving treatment.

People receive treatment from staff that are supported to do their job. We found that the service is well managed.
